Water Supply for Your Vegetable Garden

If the mains water supply is not available (and with many allotments this is not so) a water barrow will be a necessity. It may also be used where mains water is available, to prepare liquid manures and is readily moved about the garden. Where watering by hand, an automatic leverspray hose nozzle will enable the jet to reach greater distances or a jet spray may be obtained with a metal spike attached which will fit into the ground so that one part of the garden may be watered whilst the gardener is performing tasks elsewhere.

An efficient watering can is an essential part of vegetable garden equipment for watering in the open, in frames and beneath cloches where a gentle flow of water is required.
